I typically run it on power level 2, which is quite quiet. Level 3 is noisier but proves invaluable for rapid air purification, especially in removing persistent smoke or odors.

After dedicating a full day to researching air purifiers, I concluded that this model struck the best balance in terms of price, functionality, size, and noise level. Being particularly sensitive to noise, I was thrilled to discover that its lowest setting is virtually silent. The medium setting is perceptible, but it’s easily drowned out by background sounds like headphones or a TV. The highest setting, on the other hand, is quite loud, necessitating earplugs or leaving the room for me.
The auto feature is another aspect I value, and I observed it activating automatically after some time, confirming its functionality (initially, it seemed to stick to the lowest setting, but it began adjusting on its own after a week).
Additionally, my research revealed that Coway utilizes the same filter for this model and another of their products, easing my concerns about obtaining replacement filters in the future. It doesn’t appear to be an overly proprietary component that can only be sourced directly from them.

Although I didn’t purchase this from Amazon, I felt compelled to share my positive experience because I know many people shop there. This air purifier is outstanding! My apartment is 1700 sq/ft and comes with its share of challenges: a cat, an older structure, dusty HVAC, carpeting, and so on. I spent a week researching the best air purifiers and thoroughly explored the options. Eventually, I bought two of these units, along with a couple of Levoit models for smaller areas. I placed one in my living room and another in my bedroom, and the impact was immediate. Within hours, I could feel the difference, and for the first time in nearly 15 years, I woke up without a stuffy nose. The air felt noticeably cleaner, though it’s hard to put into words.
The real testament to their effectiveness was the dramatic reduction in dust. I’m someone who needs to dust weekly due to rapid accumulation, but after installing these purifiers, I found almost no dust during my regular Sunday clean-up. That was a definitive sign of their efficiency.
I appreciate the design, which includes a cleanable pre-filter, a replaceable deodorization filter, and affordable packs of carbon filters. The only minor drawback is the noticeable jump in fan noise between the medium and high settings; a midway option would be ideal. However, this isn’t a deal-breaker for me since I prefer sleeping with fan noise.
